Thanksgiving is a huge American tradition in most households and is coming up soon. What better way to celebrate an American, food-centric holiday than by talking about food this month?
November’s AgBookClub selection, The American Way of Eating: Undercover at Walmart, Applebee’s, Farm Fields, and the Dinner Table, by Tracie McMillan, explores the American food system and its impact on the way we make our food choices. The book goes beyond what we think of as a typical “foodie” and explores the policies and food systems in place that affect the way we eat.
Here’s what you need to do this month:
Get the book. Buy it, borrow it, download and listen to it, read it over your neighbor’s shoulder — we don’t care. But don’t steal the book.
